Seven factors affecting the characteristics of silicone products are described in detail

Silicone products – silicone is a porous material with different particle sizes formed by proper dehydration of silicone. It has an open porous structure and can adsorb many substances. It is a good desiccant, adsorbent and catalyst carrier. The adsorption of silicone is mainly physical adsorption, which can be regenerated and reused.
First, viscosity. The anti flow volume characteristic of quasi liquid or quasi solid substances, that is, the internal friction or flow resistance between molecules when flowing under the action of external force. Generally, viscosity is directly proportional to hardness.
Second, hardness. The ability of a material to locally resist hard s pressing into its surface is called hardness. Silicone rubber has a shore hardness range of 10 to 80, which gives designers full freedom to choose the required hardness to best achieve specific functions.
Third, tensile strength. Tensile strength refers to the force required in each range unit to cause a sample of rubber material to tear.
Fourth, tear strength. Resistance to the expansion of the notch or notch when a force is applied to a notched sample. Even if it is placed under extremely high torsional stress after cutting, the hot vulcanized solid silicone rubber can not be torn.
Fifth, elongation. Refers to the “ultimate breaking elongation” or the percentage increase relative to the original length when the sample breaks. Different processing methods and the choice of hardener can greatly change its elongation. The elongation of silicone rubber is closely related to temperature.
Sixth, operation time. The operation time is calculated from the moment when the colloid is added with the vulcanizing agent. The more time-saving the product operation process is, the more beneficial it is to the finished product.
Seventh, vulcanization time. Some places will say it is curing time. In other words, after such a long time, the vulcanization reaction of silicone is basically over.
